BFF's Wedding....

I should have blogged this mths ago but I'm too busy lately that I've forgotten about it. This is indeed the most tiring wedding I attended as a friend. Wat to do... She's my BFF and there's no else to lend their hands except me and the 2 others lovely gal, Carmen and Jing. We are the unofficially and unpaid appointed Wedding Planner. I've go around surveying and bargaining for the best deal in Bridal shops around Ipoh and surfed on wedding related websites for the best photography, gifts for the guests, wedding hall decorations, wedding invitation cards and etc.... Besides, I need to remind her all on those tiny little stuff as the preparations starts quite late as she's busy with her hectic work load and part time studies but it's a pleasure helping in her wedding as the relationship bonds grows stronger. After a few tiring months for helping her around, the BIG DAY finally here.....

Dec/06

The day started at 3PM. I'll be driving down to Tg. Tualang with Jing. I'll be picking her first then we'll go to collect the dinner bridal hand bouquet and the corsages from Connie Florist. The bride also called us to buy her some flowers for the dining hall and her bridal room. So, we drove to Choo Gaik Florist at Ipoh garden to buy the Calla Lily and Gerbera Daisies before we head to Ipoh Parade to pick the bride up after her self-pampering session before her tiring BIG Day. As it's a traditional chinese wedding, she'll be serving her invited guest buffet dinner at her residence. As we are from Ipoh adn travelling to Tg. Tualang will take us abt an hour drive, the groom being very kind rented a house for us to stay over. Of course, it's not us alone, his *heng-dai's* and their respective partner are logging in as well. We are given the master bedroom that can accomadates 4 person. The groom said he better treat us well so that we won't have the heart to be harsh to him tomorrow but he bribed the wrong person as the Chairlady for our jimuis.com is his hengdais.com partner. Hahahaha ~ After some food, we proceed to the groom's residence as there's fire-works and we need to help in decorating the bridal room and ensure that everything is in good order. The decoration of the room is very impressive and we just need to arrange the Calla Lilies. Also, cam-whoring lol.....

After done, we proceed to the garden for fiew-works. hehehe ~ We are there till mid-nite abt 2am before heading back to the guest house for a rest. Eeerrmmmm.. there's only one bathroom available and we have to take turn to bath. Moreover, I nearly forgot abt the jimuis.com gift that I haven't wrap and we are also assigned with notes to be placed into the red packets. This couple, really lousy and busy till this important thing also can forget d. Haih ~~ So, no choice lah.... as the very considerate jimuis.com members we lend in our helping hand as well lol ! With all this tasks on hand, we only slept for an hour lol :( for we need to wake up at 5am to prepared ourself as we need to send the bride back home as the make up artist will be there at 6am. She slept with us cuz her bed were taken by her relatives. Oooohhhh..Btw, the groom's house is beautifully decorated with ballons as well.

Dec/07

We are kinda shocked when we reached her house at 6am cuz it's not cleaned. They are too tired to clean up, we guessed so we ended cleaning the place and re-arranged for the wedding ceremony. After done with all the cleaning, we proceed to make-up ourselves while the bride is

getting hers done by a pro. Hehehe ~ After she's done, we started to cam-whore while waiting for the groom to come. We've also, prepare some gate-crashing games for the groom. Nothing really gross or harsh but it's really fun. The games are :-

1) To eat sandwiches prepared by jimuis.com. The ingredients are Sardine, gardenia bread and lots of Chili Padi. The chili padi is the contribution from the groom's mum. Hehehe ~

2) Drink Guiness Stout with straw. The hengdais.com uses their skills to open the bottle cap and they have to drink in with the straws provided by us, jimuis.com. Sound easy huh ?? Of cuz it wouldn't be that easy as there were joints in btw the straws and we are very kind cuz we didn't poke holes in between or else they'll take the whole day to complete the bottle.

3) Bride's shoe is missing ?? We told them that the lovely bride have forgotten where she placed her bridal shoes and get them to search for it and the hengdais.com really did a great job here as they are able to found in 15mins. Hahaha ~

4) The wife Policy. We gave the groom a list of policy whereby he have to read it loud and clear. After reading, he have to sign on that certificate and we will slot in for the bride's approval and verification on signature.

5) While waiting for the approval, he is to sing the bride a song lol !!

Once done, verification and approval obtained and ang pau given we let him in for his bride lol ! hehehe ~ I can see a release facial expression in his face "finally I get to see my wife after all the obstacles" The tea ceremony is after all the formalities "gao dim" as instructed by the "tai kum jie".

We had photo-shootings before leaving to the groom's residence.

The same things are done here, prayers, Tea-Ceremony and photo-shootings. After all done, we went back to the rented house for a rest lol.

We woke up in the evening to get ready for the dinner. We got to be there early as we assigned with some tasks as well lol !! We are lucky to arrived at the designated wedding hall before the heavy rain falls but I were to leave to lead my college mates in. We had fun with performances and catching up. Dinner completed at 10.45PM and we are heading back to Ipoh. Reached home ard 12 am. I had a quick bath and hopped to my bed and I woke up noon the next day. Although it's tiring but I'm glad that the lovely couples trusted us to be part of their most important day.
